彭坑村是德化县桂阳乡的行政村，位于乡政府北部约5公里处，辖8个自然村。[1][2]村域面积15.53平方千米，1999年末登记为251户、990人。[2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名取自地形：村境内既有平地，也有坑沟，名字是以谐音取定的。[2]

村子原属尤溪县常平乡，后划归德化县；宋代属常平乡的贵湖里，明代属常平乡的杨梅上团，清代归梅上里桂阳社。[1][2]

民国时期编为德化县第三区桂阳联保下的彭坑保，之后隶属桂溪、桂涌两乡。[2]新中国成立后，1952年，此地又设彭坑乡，三年后并入溪洋乡。1958年起为彭坑大队，隶属上涌公社；1961年改归溪洋公社，1981年转入桂阳公社，1984年才称彭坑村。[2]

自然资源[edit]

村内有瓷土、花岗岩石材，并有零星金矿。[3]水利资源较丰富，土壤肥沃，气候温湿，适宜造林和种果。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

蔡岩在村中罗城一带，年代为宋，属古建筑，于2021年8月列为第四批县级文物保护单位。[3][4]百度百科的条目也记载，村中保存着县级文物保护单位蔡岩寺。[1]

普查名录登记的彭坑村文物有龙角堂，年代为宋；另有彭坑瓷窑贡窑、下林坑湖头坂窑，年代为清。[5]
