西溪村位于上涌镇西南部，在戴云山西南面、九仙山东侧，与赤水镇的铭爱村相邻，并与本镇的桂格村、云路村毗连[1]。全村面积15.81平方千米，下辖西溪、卢智、石门头3个自然村，1999年底有245户1006人[1]。村名因村民沿西溪而居得来[1]。2024年6月，村庄入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋明时期此地属常平乡东西团，清代归东西里。民国初依清制，1935年编成西溪保，归桂涌乡管辖[1]。1950年划入第四区云路乡，1958年并入云路大队，隶属上涌公社。1961年分出单设西溪大队；1984年改设西溪村委会，隶属上涌乡。2001年以后撤乡建镇，此地称上涌镇西溪村[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村子海拔780米，山势陡峭，林木茂密，林业资源丰富。村民人口较少，居住分散[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，村庄被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」；2021年11月，获评「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。
