下涌村位于上涌镇北部，距县城约50公里，离乡政府所在地约4公里，全村面积18.84平方千米，辖5个自然村、23个村民小组[1][2]。村名旧称“夏涌”，后改称下涌[1][2]。2021年11月，村庄获评「2021年福建省卫生村」[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

唐代，下涌属尤溪县，称尤溪三十都。博雅地名网记载，933年（后唐长兴四年）起归德化县管辖，此后宋、元、明、清历代均属德化县[2]。该说与上涌镇条目所据的五代后汉乾祐二年（949年）划归之说不同，两说并存[2]。民国时期此地称汤泉里[2]。1984年撤销大队，改设下涌村民委员会；2001年以后随撤乡建镇更名为上涌镇下涌村[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村域海拔650米，地势较平坦，四周群山环绕，属亚热带季风气候，年均气温约16摄氏度[1]。耕地以种植中季杂交水稻、马铃薯为主，兼有水果[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，村庄被认定为「2020年泉州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」[2]。
