上湖村属德化县水口镇，位于镇西部，靠近飞凤山脚，地势约700米，与永泰县接壤，辖上湖、竹柄、流乾、白潭4个自然村。[1][2]

据百度百科所述，村名与村址所在的溪流分水之地的地形有关。[2]

村中王、林、方、陈、张、吴等姓村民共254户937人，分居上述4个自然村。村域面积25.04平方千米。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村域内蕴藏叶腊石、瓷土等矿产，尚待开采。境内主要山峰为飞凤山，山上有若干文物和旅游景点。[1]

上湖村的白潭被列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[3]
