许厝村背靠雪尾山，西面与雷峰镇的几个村相连，其余边界与望洋村、连山村、梓垵村相接。[1] 村名来自许姓村民在此建屋定居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属瑞上乡。1955年1月独立建乡，隶属第二区；1956年至1957年称许厝乡，1961年至1964年设许厝公社，1965年划归南埕公社。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地面积20.96平方千米，海拔在440至1480米之间，林地面积大。村内分许厝、新雷峰、枫坑三个自然村落。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

许厝祥聚堂旧址在枫坑角落，为清代建筑，列入「第三次全国文物普查不可移动文物名录」，属一般不可移动文物。[3]
