溪美村在雷峰镇东南，与龙门滩镇相接，离镇政府约10公里。[1][2]

村子旧称下叶村，民间叫小溪尾；闽南话里“尾”与“美”读音相近，因此改名溪美。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设溪美大队，归雷峰公社。1961年3月，溪美生产大队正式组建。1984年10月，此村成为雷峰乡溪美村；1992年改乡为镇，村名变为雷峰镇溪美村。[3]

人口民族[edit]

全村5个村民小组，110户，总人口468人，劳动力273个（年份未注）。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地面积1.81平方千米。村中林业资源较多，林木蓄积超过7000立方米，毛竹林有1800多亩。矿藏以叶腊石为主。[2]

经济[edit]

村民经济以农林为主。耕地502亩，其中水田380亩，主要种植水稻、甘薯和马铃薯，经济作物以柑桔为主。[2]
