雷峰村是雷峰镇人民政府所在地，位于德化县中南部，距县城关约16公里。[1][2]

村内居住集中，是全镇经济、文化与交通的中心。村名原为螺坑，方氏曾在此开基。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自祖籍地：先人自莆田梅峰迁来，因“梅”与莆田话的“雷”音近，便以“雷峰”纪念祖籍之地。[1]

宋明时期，雷峰村属德化永宁乡清泰里；清代分属峰魁社、肖坑社与奎光社。民国时期属西南乡雷峰保。[3]

1958年10月，此地先编入雷峰人民公社，设雷峰大队。1984年11月，大队改为雷峰乡所属的雷峰村；1992年5月撤乡建镇后，名称为雷峰镇雷峰村。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地总面积11.02平方千米，分为3个自然村落、12个村民小组。海拔620米，属丘陵地形。[2]

村中有高岭土资源，并有泥灰土，林业资源也有一定规模。[2]

人口民族[edit]

1999年末人口1868人，其中男964人、女904人。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

村中方、林、郭三姓都是宋代迁入定居的，三姓皆繁衍至今。[2]

经济[edit]

村中有瓷厂、砖厂、藤木工艺厂、水电厂和粮食加工厂。农作物一年二熟，主要种植水稻、甘薯和马铃薯。[2]

清代举人方以镇出自此村，县长方清芳也是村中人物。[2]
