横口乡是福建省泉州市永春县辖的乡，位于县境西部，东与下洋镇、坑仔口镇相邻，西接一都镇，南与安溪县剑斗镇相连。乡政府驻云贵村。[1][7]

1929年8月，红四军进驻当时称福鼎乡的一带，朱德亲率部队在此休整，乡内至今保存着郭氏家庙、凤美堂、龙兴岩等红军旧址。全乡为省定革命老区乡。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

此地早年属宣和乡民苏里二都。1933年前后改隶荣义乡与福德乡两个乡，次年又与一都、曲斗共编为第五区；1936年划入第四区，直到1942年区制撤销，才仍由荣义乡统辖。[2]

新中国成立后，本地曾属第一区与一都区。1958年并入一都公社之后，1961年才另立横口公社，并于1984年定名为横口乡。[2][7]

2002年，乡政府由福中村迁至云贵村。[8]

乡政府2021年公布的村简介列有10个行政村。[5]2025年12月，上西坑村与下西坑村合并，设立西坑村。[9]

地理环境[edit]

全乡地势南低北高，海拔约300至895米，中部的船山山脉横贯东西。维基百科称，境内最高峰为鼎山。[2][8]

乡名取自一都溪：这条溪横穿全境，在隘口与境内由北向南流的岐兜溪相汇，故称横口。[1]

2021年乡政府简介称，全乡总面积70平方千米，森林覆盖率82.5%；百度百科所载面积为62.57平方千米。[4][7]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科以2019年末的户籍统计为据，记该乡9438名户籍居民。[7]

乡政府2021年的简介把全乡人口记为9450人，外来人口200多人，常住人口则为4000多人。[4]

境内通行闽南语。[8]

经济[edit]

乡内的双恒集团位于横坑村，主要经营建材和卫生用品。[4]

乡政府2022年工作报告所列的特色农业，有水稻、茶叶、芦柑、双华李和油茶等。[6]

文化[edit]

环境保护部于2012年12月授予横口乡国家级生态乡镇的称号，评定的是2010年至2011年度。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

郭氏家庙位于福中村，1984年4月起为永春县级文物，2020年升为省级文物保护单位，2021年列入全省首批革命文物名录。[3]

福中村的红军军部旧址、朱德同志旧居为县级文物保护单位。福联村的凤美堂（红四军米局旧址），环峰村的龙兴岩（红四军医疗所旧址）、福山堂（后勤部旧址）和贤山堂（第二、三纵队司令部旧址），都是1929年红四军在此留下的旧址。[3]
