东里村位于仙夹镇南部，距镇区约5公里，距永春县城21公里，村前有东里溪流过。村庄是历史悠久的华侨文化村，旅外侨亲据2021年村情简介有五千余人。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名「东里」因地处一处村落东北侧约一里之程，俗称东里而得名。[1]

据博雅地名网，村中旧称「桃源吉际」（下巷），明正统二年已有人迁入。至光绪年间，为取吉祥之意，改名「集庆邨」；民国24年与西向拼并为一乡；新中国成立后曾为仙夹公社的东里大队，1984年10月设东里村民委员会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

据2021年村情简介，村内海拔约500至800米，依山傍水，幅员3.7平方公里；耕地1337亩，林地5935亩，其中划为生态公益林的有3215亩。[3]

经济[edit]

村中出产芥菜、铁观音、百香果与生姜，此外还有黑米、红米、姜黄、西兰花等特色作物。黑米曾是村里申报市级「一村一品」专业村时的主导产业。[1][3]

文化[edit]

据2021年村情简介，村庄获评的称号涵盖「福建省级卫生村」「福建省传统村落」「中国标准化美丽乡村」等，另有高级版「绿盈乡村」与省级乡村旅游特色村，并列入泉州市级美丽乡村与泉州市级文明村名录。[3]
