竹溪村位于永春县玉斗镇东北部，属革命老区村之一[1][2]。村名原作竹林兜，相传开基时屏尖山下有大片竹林，后改称竹溪[1]。全村有农户788户，人口2588人，设13个村民小组（2022年）[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明代，村域为永春县宣和乡的六都辖地[1]。1949年以前按保甲编制，1950年编为一乡，当年人口1004人[1]。1957年并乡，1958年改为大队，1985年改设竹溪村民委员会[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村内有大竹林、中心、下水尾、官林边四个自然角落[2]。耕地1257亩，山地3400亩，350县道穿村而过，距泉三高速互通口25公里[2]。

经济[edit]

村民以种植业为主，主要出产水稻、茶叶与油茶[2]。村域是永春佛手茶的生产区之一[1]。2021年12月，竹溪村获评「泉州市2019-2021年度市级一村一品专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为佛手茶[1]。2020年12月，村被列入「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，产业为佛手茶[1]。
