石鼓社区位于石鼓镇政府所在地，是镇里的政治与文化中心，省道305线穿过社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传桃溪畔有一块形如鼓的巨石，溪水冲击时响声如鼓，社区因此得名石鼓。[1]

明代，石鼓一带属永春县二十三都。1954年设石鼓乡，1961年为石鼓大队；1984年曾是石鼓村民委员会，2005年8月起改为石鼓社区居民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内有石鼓寨唐墓。石鼓亭庙、仙林宫与凤髻宫是社区里举行宗教活动的主要场所。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年12月，社区获认定为2023年度「福建省“一村一品”专业村」，产业是荔枝。[1]

2024年10月，社区又被确定为「泉州市2023年度市级“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业同为荔枝。[1]
