达新村是桃舟乡的行政村，位于县境西北边陲，与漳平市交界，海拔约570米。[2][3]

村落处在晋江的发源地，梯仔岭东南坡一带，村落中部有一条清溪穿过，周围竹林与树木茂密。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清时属金田乡感德里。民国时与新田坪拼保，取名达新保，1946年归潘桃乡管辖。1952年划入第十三区，称达新乡；1958年建为感德公社的达新大队；1984年又改成感德乡达新村委会；1987年，本村与桃舟乡一同从感德乡分出。[2][1]

地理环境[edit]

村内梯仔岭东南坡一带是晋江的源头所在。2002年12月，“晋江源”石碑在此立起，立碑单位为泉州市人民政府。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现存明代相思桥、仁德宫，以及多座闽南古厝建筑。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[2]
