后洋村是祥华乡下辖的行政村，地处多坑西北部的山后，距祥华乡政府约8公里。宋元时期此处为杨姓居住，村名由此而来。[1][2]

村子位于多坑西北部的山后，宋元时期为杨姓居住，因而得名后洋。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，村子属安溪县积德乡崇信里多卿坊的侯洋保。民国时期，先后归安溪县长坑区多卿乡的美洋保与多坑乡侯洋特编保。1949年后，先归第十四区一个居民组，此后又分属公社的生产队。1979年设立祥华乡后洋村委会。[1][3]
