后田村位于龙涓镇境内，原称苦坑村，因觉得名称不雅，又因地处佛耳山后、田地较多，改称后田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属崇信里多卿乡，民国时属多卿乡的新田保。1952年，此地归双寨乡的一个生产组。[1]

1958年划入龙涓公社三乡大队，1961年改由龙涓区三乡公社管辖，设后田大队；1962年6月起隶属龙涓公社后田大队，1984年设后田村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，后田村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
