镇东村位于参内镇北部，辖12个自然村，地处参林溪上游一带 [1]。

历史沿革[edit]

这里在宋代归属归善乡长泰里第一都，明清两代划入泉州府安溪县的归善里，称镇抚乡 [2]。1949年后辗转划入龙城区的泰安乡，随后又归第一区、第二区的镇抚乡管辖；1957年并入泰安乡，改隶城关区 [2]。1958年改为城关公社下的镇东大队，1961年随镇抚人民公社分设为两个大队，1965年划归城厢公社 [2]。1984年，参内公社改为参内乡，此地遂改称镇东村 [2]。
