西坪镇是福建省泉州市安溪县中南部的一个镇，东南邻虎邱镇，西邻芦田镇，镇政府驻西源村。[2][5] 全镇辖1个社区和26个行政村，面积145.5平方千米。[2][5]

镇名古称「栖鹏」，相传因有大鹏曾在此栖息而得名。镇内是安溪铁观音的发源地之一，茶叶种植与加工是全镇的主要产业，境内还有安溪土楼等文物。[2][4]

地名由来[edit]

西坪古称栖鹏，意为大鹏栖息之地，后音变为今名。[2] 清乾隆年间编修的《安溪县志》记载，西坪在县南三十里，地势开阔，所产之茶特佳，为铁观音的源地。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

五代置安溪县之初，此地隶属积德乡崇信里第八都。明清时期为下六里崇信里的一部分，其范围包括今西坪、芦田、祥华、福田等地。[1][3]

民国时期区划屡有调整：1932年划分六区，西坪为第五区；1940年6月，西坪首次建制为镇。[3] 当年10月，西坪人民公社设立，管辖范围扩及如今的虎邱、大坪、芦田、尚卿一带；1965年4月撤区为公社，虎邱、尚卿等地析出另设公社。1984年4月复称西坪乡，直到1992年8月才改成镇制，并延续至今。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于戴云山南麓，地势高低悬殊，低山连绵，分布在溪流两岸，坡度和缓。气候属亚热带湿润季风气候，年平均气温约18摄氏度，夏季多雨，冬季少雨，因海拔差异而山上山下气候迥异。[2]

茶业[edit]

镇内茶园面积稳定，茶叶生产、加工和销售已形成全产业链，境内有多家茶庄园和茶叶企业。[2] 松岩村一带的铁观音母树遗址，据百度百科所载，清雍正年间村民魏荫在此发现铁观音母树并推广无性繁殖，现存母树遗址。[8]

文物与名胜[edit]

安溪土楼又称西坪土楼，包括映宝楼、聚斯楼和南岩泰山楼，始建于明清时期。国务院于2019年10月16日把它列为「全国重点文物保护单位」，批次为第八批。[4] 映宝楼与聚斯楼位于平原村、赤石村一带，南岩泰山楼位于南岩村。西坪土楼于2009年经福建省人民政府列为省级文物保护单位，属第七批；2013年，南岩泰山楼被公布为第八批省级文物保护单位。[6]

安溪县人民政府网站介绍，镇内还有铁观音母树、南轩、茶源古道、茶禅寺等茶文化遗存，以及日寨、月寨等古民居。[2] 其中，日寨（尧阳村）、月寨（南岩村）为县级文物保护单位。[6]
