红村是芦田镇的一个行政村，坐落于镇北部，依傍马头尖山的西北坡，海拔695米，所在河流属白荇溪流域。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据说此地原是洪姓人家的居所，因此称洪村。后来遭遇疫病，村子荒废，杨姓人家前来开垦，改名红村，又称洪村。[1][2]

明清时期，此地属积德乡崇信里。1982年设红村大队，1984年改称村委会；1991年随芦田乡改镇，归镇政府管辖。[3]

人口民族[edit]

2020年户籍人口为1063人。[2]

经济[edit]

2019年，村里组建了股份经济合作社，业务包括农业开发和旅游投资。[2]

文化[edit]

2022年1月，红村获认定为安溪县文明村镇（2020至2021年度）。[1]
