石山村隶属虎邱镇，位于镇域西北部，与芳亭村、高村村、林东村以及西坪镇的南岩村相邻。村名由石皮坑与山前两个自然村各取一字而成。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名由石皮坑与山前两个自然村各取一字而成。此前「石皮」二字曾被外乡人读作「破」字，于是村中高氏先辈在清顺治四年（1647年）修建祖祠时，定名为石山祖祠，地名也随之定为石山。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

中华人民共和国成立前后，此地隶属西坪区林东堡，其下的石皮坑是本村的前身。1961年改为石山大队，1965年并入林东大队；1982年起为虎邱镇石山自然行政村。[1][2]

人口与民族[edit]

村民主要为高姓。据博雅地名网所载，高氏为北宋时晋江安海人兵部尚书高惠连的后裔，其十七世积篑公由安海迁至大坪，后分派，其中一支在石皮坑定居。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村中所产铁观音茶，有「石皮坑铁观音」之称。[2]

荣誉[edit]

近年村里获得的荣誉有：2021年4月，获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」；2022年1月，被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
