上苑村属福建省泉州市安溪县官桥镇。村中祖祠门前有一口形如象牙的池塘，村子初名象苑，后因「象」「上」谐音改称上苑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始设于唐末。明清时，此地为新溪里上坂乡、土塘乡和岩头乡的所在。1941年（民国三十年）归官溪镇的上苑保。建国后，1953年设官桥区上苑乡；1961年改为上苑公社；1963年转入官桥公社，成为上苑大队。1984年起为官桥镇上苑村委会。[1]
