溪美村位于湖头镇，旧称「魁尾」。村子在湖头边沿的水尾一带，村民临溪建居，后人遂改「魁尾」为「溪美」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年此地隶湖头区溪美乡，1961年划为湖头公社溪美大队。1984年，它成为湖头乡溪美村；1991年改称湖头镇溪美村，村委会随之设立。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
