南星村是辋川镇下辖的行政村，与吹楼村、后坑村相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

南星村最初只有五个自然村，分布形如国防五星。以南庄为中心，前字取“南”，后字取“星”，寓意五星红旗，因此得名南星。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属三十四都仙溪铺，民国时属辋川乡瑞南保。1949年冬以后先后隶属第一区、十一区、十四区，以及驿坂区的瑞南乡。1958年划归超先公社，其后为辋川公社南星大队；1985年改称辋川乡南星村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，南星村经省级认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年3月，村庄被命名为惠安县2023年度「平安村（社区）」。[1]
