新桥村位于小岞中心地区，地势平坦，往来便利。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村民同姓陈氏，村名与此有关。传说先祖在明代天启年间自洛阳岭头的陈氏村移居泉州新桥头，后又迁到小岞后内居住，于是沿用新桥为地名。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年隶属飞跃公社后内大队，1961年分出，成为小岞、净峰两个公社各自的新桥大队。1985年定名为新桥村民委员会。[3]

明清两代此地属三十一都黄坑铺，民国时归后内保；1949年冬起，先后划入第三、第四区的后内乡与东岭区小岞乡。[3]

荣誉[edit]
