东桥村是东桥镇的行政村，镇人民政府设在村内，地处泉州湾与湄洲湾之间。村名来自清末的一次迁居：王姓村民在一条大港沟上那座桥的东侧建屋定居，地名由此而来。[1][2]

村域陆地面积2.3平方千米，另有海域约0.7平方千米。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地归三十二都吉庄铺管辖。民国时，村地分属东岭乡的玉仁保和大吴保。新中国成立后，1958年成立东桥大队，1961年改隶东岭公社，1985年设立东岭乡东桥村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年2月，村子入选第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建名单。[1]
