西埔村位于东岭镇，明末刘姓村民从晋江上西大堡迁来，在溪流西侧的埔地上定居，故名西埔[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1984年10月才改设西埔村委会。在此之前，1958年9月起隶属飞跃公社东岭管区，编在第十六连，设西埔大队；1949年后则归第三区管辖[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

西埔下大厝是刘氏祖厝，始建于明代，2000年重修。建筑为二进五开间，屋顶为燕尾脊式硬山，木构架兼用穿斗与抬梁[1]。

文化[edit]

2024年1月，西埔村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[1]。
