钱塘村是惠安县螺阳镇下辖的行政村，地处城南工业区中心。[1][3][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村前早年有一片大水塘，原名前塘。“前”与“钱”音近，此后改称钱塘。[1]

此地在民国前属盘龙铺。民国时属螺城镇的前塘保。新中国成立后，先后归一区、涂寨区的前塘乡与美里乡；1958年以后划入城关公社，1984年起称钱塘村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

钱塘典当行建筑群建于清代，1830年始建，1860年完工，用于经营典当与粮油生意。两座并排的三进五开间建筑之间留有防火巷。[1]

顶乡王氏祖祠旧址为清代建筑，2009年重建，为两进三开间，硬山式屋顶，厅两边墙壁绘有二十四孝壁画。[1]
