后田村是惠安县螺阳镇下辖的行政村，与下埔、蔡厝、联群、金山等村相邻。[1][3][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝中期，一位开基祖在临溪北岸建寺，寺北地势平坦宜耕，称为“田园”；后来人们又在田间建屋居住，遂称后田。[1]

明清时期属十七都前康铺，民国时期属螺城镇五音保。1949年冬起先后属涂寨二区、螺阳区五音乡。1958年起先后隶属红旗、城关、螺阳公社，置后田大队，1985年改设螺阳乡后田村委会，2001年改设螺阳镇后田村委会。[1]
