许厝村是后龙镇的行政村，位于东南沿海的中部，西与后田村接壤。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村庄此前名为群团大队，寓意人民群众团结一致。1987年机构改革时改用现名，即许厝村委会。[1]
博雅地名网援引旧志，称解放前此地名为梅峰埔鲤峰乡，解放后至1958年隶属后龙公社。[2]

村内旧称「七社」，由前厝、埭北、丁伍厝、顶庄、下庄、许厝、隔壁七个自然村组成。[2]
