塘西社区是福建省泉州市洛江区万安街道下辖的社区，位于洛江区西北部，北与福建双阳华侨经济技术开发区接壤，西面与清源山相接。[1]

地名[edit]

社区得名有两种说法：一说境内原有一池塘，居民沿池塘西侧建屋而居；另一说旧时此地有塘西、东宅、村院、杏内四个自然村，以塘西为中心，故称塘西。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先前归鲤城区管理，1997年行政区域调整后改隶洛江区，旧时又称万安三十八都。[1][2]
