上石村位于洪田镇最南端，是全镇行政区域面积最大的行政村，离镇政府14公里，地处群山之中。[1] 村名原为「漳溪」，后因村民劳动后常在一块大石上歇息，改称上石。[2] 村内的紫云山高1634米，在永安境内位居次席，又是永安与漳平之间的界山，属国家级森林公园。[1][3]

历史[edit]

村中流传「陈邓开宗」的说法：宋初一名守将以紫云山为据点起事，后被杨文广所部剿灭，其部下陈、邓两姓遂在此定居，开发了上石。[1] 清代以前，村中曾有5人考取过功名。[1]
