大湖村位于大湖镇中心一带，村名的来历与镇名相同：村址一带地势低洼，积水似湖。[1]

村内有福建省立师范学校旧址群的建筑，也有1984年首批列入文物名单的革命烈士纪念碑。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地称永安县二十七都湖山村。民国时属大湖乡，1950年划入第三区，1956年改属贡川区，1958年10月并入大湖人民公社。[1]

村民委员会设于1984年，设立时挂靠大湖乡；1992年起归大湖镇人民政府管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

福建省立师范学校旧址群的建筑分布在大湖村与坑源村境内，年代为1939年至1945年。[2][3]

村东面皆山上的邓文铿题刻，与村内的革命烈士纪念碑一样，都在1984年首批列入文物名单。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，大湖村经福建省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；同年12月，大湖村获得「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名。[1]
