银坑村位于西洋镇山区，海拔650多米，距西洋集镇约12公里。[1]

村名的来历是村民早年曾在此储存银两。2021年11月，银坑村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2024年7月，该村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代隶属永安二十八都，民国时归西洋乡。1951年9月划入西洋区小螺乡，1958年10月并入西洋公社，1962年1月归小螺公社管辖。1966年2月后隶属西洋公社银坑大队，1984年起称银坑村，同时设立村民委员会，2005年建成现今的办公楼。[1]
