新桥村是燕东街道下辖的行政村，位于永安市东门外约一公里处，铁路穿村而过，永安站位于村内。[1][2]

村名原称新桥堡，后改为新桥村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据传，永安县筑城时的城墙砖由新桥人烧制，村落形成已有四百多年。古时此地属二十七都唐田堡，清末、民国时叫新桥堡。[2]

抗战期间福建省会迁至永安，省防空司令部就驻在村中李氏祖祠里，直到省会回迁福州。[2]

1984年成为燕江镇下的新桥村，1989年12月起归燕东街道管。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中李氏祖祠与三堂厝内设有新桥农民夜校旧址，为一般不可移动文物。[1]

村中原有的大帝宫庙和一座土堡，今已不存；三堂厝仅剩两个大厅。[2]

村北的莲花山上原有莲花寺，现已建为莲花山公园；南面的天鹅山上建有仙马庙、天后宫等庙宇。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，村入选2020年度福建省「一村一品」示范村名单（笋竹）。福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定新桥村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
