东郊村是燕东街道下辖的行政村，位于城区东部，燕东街道办事处驻地在此。[1][2]

「东郊」即东部的郊区之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在明清两代归永安县二十七都，民国则隶属燕江镇。[1]

1958年，此地成为城市人民公社的东郊管理区；1960年归东郊蔬菜农场；1962年由城市公社设为东郊大队。[1]

村民以迁自长汀的移居者为多。[1]

1989年12月，燕江镇被拆分为四个办事处，东郊村由燕东街道管辖。1984年起，此地称东郊村民委员会。[1]
