东溪村是溪源乡北部的行政村，北与江西省黎川县接壤，东与泰宁县新桥乡交界，离乡政府约2公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄建在溪水东侧，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时属东乡楚上保，明初属东区楚上保，民国时为东安乡的东溪保。解放初期，村子属第四区并设东溪乡；1956年改为乡人民委员会，1958年改为生产大队，1984年设村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的里树坵古屋建于清代末年，至今保存完好，仍有六户人家居住。屋内的横梁与门扇有雕刻，中厅柱以乌里木雕成花鸟图案，地面用河卵石铺出图样。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，东溪村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1] 同月，东溪村又入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单，其特色产品为溪源明笋。[1] 2024年7月，村子被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
