大南村夹在建宁县城与里心镇之间，紧邻闽赣交战路线。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地有“大南寨”驻军，村因此得名。[1]

宋元时，此地属西乡大南保；明初归西区，仍为大南保；民国时属安庆乡，保名仍为大南保。1950年，此地归第二区管辖，设大南乡人民政府，1956年该乡改为大南乡人民委员会。[1]

1958年，此地设为大南生产大队，1968年改为大南大队革命领导小组；1984年改设村民委员会，归里心镇领导。[1]

「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号，于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办授予大南村。福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月认定大南村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
