大洋村地处梅口乡西北部，离泰宁县城15公里，离梅口集镇5公里。[1]

村名的意思是大山之间山垄平坦的地方。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村下设7个村民小组，有229户913人，此数字未注明统计年份。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，村地归崇礼乡大田里梅口保管辖；民国初至1931年属南乡。[2]

苏维埃时期（1931至1934年）村里设乡苏维埃政府；1934年6月划归三区，1940年改入弋梅乡。新中国成立后，1950年底至1951年底设大洋乡政府，隶属三区；1956年归弋口区，1958年改设生产大队，归红专公社管辖，1959年划归梅口公社。1984年9月7日改设村民委员会，归梅口乡管辖。[2]

文化[edit]

荣誉方面，2024年1月，村获「2023年福建省卫生村」命名。2024年7月，获「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」命名，同月又被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有交洋廊桥（清代，位于交洋自然村）和下大洋李家祖房（明代，位于下大洋自然村），二者均列入泰宁县第三次全国文物普查登记的不可移动文物。[3]
