坑坪村处在新桥乡西南，北面挨着新桥村，南面与杉城镇接壤，东面是汾信村，西面与建宁县相连。村部设于蓬坑，海拔630米，离乡所在地新桥有12.5公里。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元年间，坑坪归绥城乡清泰里的福兴保管辖；至明洪武元年（1368年），改划入福兴上保。[2]

1931年至1934年苏维埃时期，村地归新桥区管辖。此后1934年6月起归五区，1940年划入安仁乡，1944年改属崇仁乡，1948年复归安仁乡。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年12月起至1951年12月止期间，村中设有乡政府，归第四区管辖。1961年，坑坪生产大队得以设立，归新桥公社统辖。1984年9月起改称村民委员会，归新桥乡管辖。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

坪辽石拱桥建于明代，在坪辽自然村，列入县文物普查名录。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村集体所有的部分山场位于峨嵋峰自然保护区之内。[1]
