历史沿革[edit]
民国初至1931年属城区；1934年后隶属一区，1940年属炉峰镇。[2]
1958年改为生产大队，1984年改属杉城镇。1996年4月设北洲居委会，2003年改为北洲社区居委会。[2]
辖区与居民[edit]
社区设有13个居民小组，共有15个共建单位。据2012年的统计，社区住户1788户，居民4639人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2002年和2004年，社区获县政府授予「文明安全社区」称号；2006年底被评为「文明社区」，2007年为「先进居委会」，2008年再次被评为「文明社区」。[1]
