万安村是万安镇的行政村，也是镇政府的驻地。村名寓有万福之地、诸事皆安的意思，与镇名相同。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代在此有东西、南北及观前三市，隶属县西的万安上都图二；明代仿宋制，万历十三年（1585）设三市，归县北的万安上都二图。清代此地设万安寨五市，以及瑶上、大布上等村，同属万安上都。[3]

此地1928年废除都图，改行村、里制，1931至1934年间曾设万安村苏维埃政府。1935年村内分出大街、市街、桥头、土公四保，同属第三区的万安联保；1941年缩并为三保，改隶第二区万安镇，1945年后撤区，归万安乡。[3]

1950年1月解放后，此地先设万安乡（隶五区），1952年8月改称万安镇，仍隶万安五区；1957年9月复称万安乡。1958年10月组建万安大队，归红旗人民公社，1959年9月转属万安人民公社。1984年9月，此地改为万安村民委员会，隶万安镇。[3]

2020年12月，村入选「2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」，产业为果蔬。2021年9月，村被认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2021年11月，获福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2023年12月，被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」；2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象；2025年3月，被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
