清溪村是清溪片的中心村。清溪片是台溪乡最大的片区，由12个行政村组成，位于尤溪县东部，属丘陵地带。[1][2]

村名取自村前一条溪水，溪水常年长流、清澈见底。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在明清时属尤溪二十四都；解放前归清溪保，解放初改属清溪乡。1958年设清溪大队，1984年转为清溪村，设村民委员会。[4]

集市与人口[edit]

清溪村是清溪片的经济、政治与文化中心。清朝中期起，各地商人来此设市，手工艺人也在此定居。[2]

村中有417户、1900多人，分为12个村民小组，共有36个姓氏，未注统计年份。[2]

墟市逢三、八日举行，村中形成一条七百多米长的集市街道；村南有广泰宫与吉祥寺，村西有威济宫。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，清溪村经省级认定，成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2022年12月，清溪村被授予「2022年福建省森林村庄」称号。[1]
