桃坪村位于台溪与清溪之间，距乡政府约11千米，距县城约28千米，县道、乡道与向莆铁路穿村而过。[1][2]

村名原作“桃源庄”，旧时村中桃树数千棵，花开时常有人饮酒下棋，因而得名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地属二十五都，民国时期归桃源保。解放初属腾园乡，1958年归丁岩大队，1959年改归福廷坑大队，1981年析出，另立桃坪大队；1984年改为桃坪村，设村委会。[4]

人口与生活[edit]

耕地646亩、林地3102亩，全村土地合计4520亩；全村226户，803人，辖2个自然村、6个村民小组，党员20人，未注统计年份。[2]

自然与资源[edit]

村东南部有鸬鹚漈，距村部约2.5千米，凤洋溪水流经此处，形成三瀑三潭。[2]

地下蕴有金、铁、铜、铅、锌、石灰、滑石等矿藏，现已开采滑石与石灰。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，桃坪村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
