湖山村位于溪尾乡东部，北邻本洋村，南邻莘田村，东侧与汤川乡相接；村部海拔840米。村名取自四面环山、中间形成一个小盆地、状如小湖的地形。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

这里在宋隆兴元年（1163年）已有先人定居，据博雅地名网。明清时属二十都，民国为后山头保，解放初改设湖山乡。1958年组建湖山大队；1984年村委会成立，村名定为湖山村。[1]

自然环境[edit]

境内分布着七个自然村：林兜、湖山底、罗厝坑、岐坑、西坑、横山岐与鹏程。山林资源丰富，树种有红豆杉、罗汉松等珍贵树种，矿产以钾长石为主。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，湖山村获福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2024年7月，村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
