秀村是尤溪县西城镇下辖的行政村，位于尤溪县西北部，村庄规模较大，林地面积广。[2]
2021年11月，秀村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2024年7月，被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
2022年8月，尤溪县人民政府批复同意秀村的村庄规划，并确定秀村为「保护开发特色村庄」。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期属尤溪县四都，民国时期属新秀保。1949年改设新秀乡，1958年并入新秀大队。1961年，秀村自新秀大队中析出，另立秀村大队。1984年改称秀村村，并设立村民委员会。[1]
文化[edit]
县政府的批复文件称，秀村以城隍庙、秀才文化为村庄特色。[3]
