下桥村位于尤溪县新阳镇东南部，距镇区约3公里，海拔270米，村域内有8个小自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在明清时期属四十九都，民国时隶属黄沙保，解放初归新桥区管辖。集体化后另立大队，归新桥公社，1984年起以村的形式管理。[1][2]

人口与生计[edit]

全村总人口3289人（博雅地名网所载，年份不详），共有23个村民小组。[2]

村民种植烟叶、辣椒、玉米，红心柚和家禽也是常见的生产项目；外出从事餐饮服务和务工的劳动力，约占全村人口的三分之一以上。[2]
