七里村在尤溪县城以北偏东，位于沈水下游左岸，距县城30公里，距西滨镇约15公里[1]。村名源于村中心的万庵桥，周边各自然村与此都相距约七里[1]。

人口与村域[edit]

全村土地总面积31132亩，其中林地24422亩、耕地1782亩，辖12个自然村[1]。现有700户、2382人，其中劳动力1301人[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

唐代已有人在此居住。明清时期此地归尤溪十一都，民国时分上七里、下七里两个保[1]。解放后设七里乡，1958年建立七里生产大队，1984年改为七里村并设立村民委员会[1]。

1992年，水口水库的淹没线推至下七里一带；1995年，在下七里建成一座中型水电站[1]。

革命历史[edit]

1984年，七里村被定为革命老区村[2]。村民罗魁寿等人于1942年前后在南平探亲时结识地下党，此后游击队进驻七里，秘密开展工作，直到1945年[2]。第四次全国文物普查新登记的文物中，村中有「中共地下党七里联络交通站旧址」，记为1941年[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，七里村获命名「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。2022年12月，村中被确定为2022年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（食用菌）[1]。
