本村地处前坪乡的最南端，离乡政府约8千米，与县道东梅公路相距约1.5千米，平均海拔约760米。村名取霞光满地之意，与「下」字谐音而得名。[1][2]

村域属中亚热带季风气候，四季分明，年平均气温16.5℃，年平均降水量1450毫米，无霜期278天。辖区内有石灰石、铅锌矿、褐铁矿等矿产。[2]

产业[edit]

村民主要种植生姜、油茶和茶叶，以这三类作物为基础，发展生态农业，并推进无公害农产品、绿色食品和有机食品的标准化生产。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
