历史沿革[edit]
1984年改为湖美乡元安村。1961年分出，设立元安大队；1958年时村子属湖美公社的一个大队。[1]
1950年2月，村子属大田第七区的西安乡，民国时期属京仙乡，明清则归大田东区三十一都。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积13774.7亩，全村耕地932亩，主产水稻。另有烟草种植约150亩，油茶约500亩，柑橘约100亩。[1]
文化[edit]
大田县人民政府页面称元安村获认定为省级传统村落，属第三批。该页面还列有元安古琴这一文化遗存。[2]
2024年7月，本村被列为2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）。[1]
