梅林村位于上京镇东部，博雅地名网称其地处省道306、307线交接处，邻近太华镇与石牌镇。全村有3个自然村。[2]

村名史称梅岭，村中加工石灰石的历史较长。[1][2]

村名史称梅岭，又名岭柄。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域海拔约650米，境内有石灰石、多彩玉与森林等资源，并有国营梅林林场在辖区之内。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

本村原归漳平县聚贤里。明嘉靖十四年（1535年）大田设县后划入大田，清代改隶永春州的聚贤里。民国期间归上京乡管辖；1950年2月，改属大田县第八区。[1]

1957年撤区后，本村仍归上京乡；1958年改归桃源公社，1961年改归上京公社。1984年改制后，本村称上京镇梅林村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2006年，本村被列为建设社会主义新农村的省级示范村和市级示范村。[2]

2021年2月，梅林村列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，把本村评为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月，本村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[1]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
