下洋村位于石牌镇东部。村子的东侧挨着鳌江村，南侧与小湖村接壤，西侧延伸到龙坑村，北侧与上京镇梅林村相接。村子距县城17.5公里，距镇政府12公里，离212省道约2.5公里。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

开基祖房建在田洋中央，远望形如“乌鸦落洋”，故初名鸦洋。因与方言中的“下洋”音近，后定名下洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属坊都，1940年隶大田第一区；1949年改属均溪镇，此后直到1956年都在武陵区内。1957年此地归小湖乡，1958年改属小湖公社，1968年划入红湖公社。[1]

1984年乡制恢复后，本村列入石牌乡；1997年改制设镇，村委会改称石牌镇下洋村村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子属亚热带季风气候，夏季炎热多雨，冬季温和干燥。山地为次生植被，土层比较瘠薄。[2]

经济[edit]

村民以种植业为主，本地适合种烟叶、食用菌和金桔，村里还种植水稻、生姜、玉米、板栗和中药材。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，下洋村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
