地名由来[edit]
村子原名良源漈，后以良元为名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属三十三四都（坊都）。1950年2月县政府成立后，良元划入第一区，先后归华太乡、华坑乡。[1]
1958年8月划入华坑大队，归东风公社（均溪）；1961年改归均溪公社，1970年改归城关公社，1984年设村民委员会。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
村辖后洋、苏坑、前洋、水尾、坎坂等5个自然村。[1]
人口[edit]
2011年末，村有6个村民小组、256户，总人口912人。村域面积6498.90亩，耕地784.65亩，林地3987亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将良元村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月认定良元村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
